We Believe
The Bible
The Bible is the believer’s manual. It is the authoritative, infallible word of God, given to mankind through faith and personal testimony. We believe the Bible to be the foundation of our faith and daily practices. It’s for teaching, reproof, and correction. (Proverbs 3:1-2, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalm 119:9)
The Trinity
God exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each member serves different purposes, yet they share equal authority.
(Genesis 1:26, 1 John 5:7-12, 2 Corinthians 13:14)
God
The Creator of all things; he is our Father! He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. He loved us unconditionally through the redemptive act of sacrificing his only begotten Son for all humanity. He alone is the be worshipped. (Isaiah 40:28-29, John 3:16, Deuteronomy 7:9)
Jesus Christ
He is God’s only begotten Son, conceived of the Holy Spirit through the virgin Mary. He dwelt among man, and lived a sinless life! His divinity, humanity, death, and resurrection crowned him as Savior & Lord. No man can see God without belief in him. (Isaiah 9:6-7, John 1:1-3, John 1:14, John 14;6-11)
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the Comforter that Jesus promised would proceed his death, resurrection, and ascension. He leads, guides, and empowers all believers. We believe in the Holy Spirit to be evident through the fruit of the Spirit, and though spiritual gifts. (John 16:13, Acts 1:8, 2:38, Galatians 5:22-23)
Salvation
Salvation is given by grace, repentance of sin, and belief through Jesus Christ. It is the deliverance from the stain and wages of sin. Salvation is obtainable through Jesus Christ alone, making him the only way we can be saved. (Romans 1:6, John 1:12-13, Ephesians 1:13-14, Titus 2:11-14)
Baptism
We believe that water baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation. It is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ and an act of obedience following salvation. Through baptism, we identify with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.
(Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Acts 2:38)
Outreach
We aspire to build healthy relationships with all walks of life through acts of compassion, and the love of Jesus Christ. Jesus went where he was led. Our ultimate goal is to lead souls to Christ by shining our light throughout our community. We believe in the commandment to baptize all nations in the name of the Father (God), Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit (The Comforter). (Matthew 28:19, Romans 10:14, 1 Peter 3:15-16)
